Nathan Jongewaard has been shooting and editing video for more than 20 years. Born in Pennsylvania, he has lived in Maryland, Iowa, the People's Republic of China and California. In addition to his passion for films and filmmaking, he has been a corn detasseler, flower deliverer, projectionist, waiter, legal clerk, english teacher, journalist, web editor and barista.
He has a BA in Liberal Arts from St. John's College, the "Great Books" school, and an MFA in Film Directing from the California Institute of the Arts. New Orchard Media offers filmmaking and video production services for broadcast and the web. Consulting, production, direction, writing, editing, videography, sound recording, motion graphics and the occasional voice-over are available for a reasonable fee. Nathan also teaches filmmaking at East Bay Center for the Performing Arts and SAE Expression College.
Nathan lives with his wife and sons in Alameda, California, the Island City.
